The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Just simply outstanding, was invited by a long time friend to meet him there. He's told me about the spaghetti and meatballs. They didn't disappoint, health portion, and presented well. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The only down fall for me was the selection of beer. Had the local 420 by sweet water. A stellar choice, just wish they had more. Tried the lemon chello, hopefully I spelled that right, great after dinner drink, however, don't drink more than two, they can sneak up on you. Great experience overall. Can't wait to come back in a few weeks and try some of their specials.

Carpaccio & Polpo are recommended although the Polpo was a little too salted. Pretty good wine selection. Cape Sante - scallions were perfect, balsamic sauce is a thick/rich taste (heads up for those who might not like that) Orecchiette is a good blend of meat and veggies. Cannelloni is good - looked more like an enchilada? Overall pretty consistent as an Italian restaurant. Wish an ESPRESSO was offered post dinner instead of coffee and quite bad actually. But if you are craving Italian food, go here.

One word SALTY. I ordered the pasta with chicken and asparagus. The pasta was bland but holy hell the chicken was salty AF. Husband ordered chicken in some kind of spinach sauce and that chicken was salty too! I gave it 2 stars because the appetizers were actually decent and the complimentary bread and marinara sauce. Service was ok, though we noticed other people who had arrived after we did get more attention and their food and drinks faster. We witness a waiter was having a 5 minute conversation with a customer about his life story while another customer was trying to get his attention. Seating was inconvenient, seated on a table by the bar and the bar was packed so there was random people standing at our table so it was like they were having dinner with us. Except they weren't eating. Since the food was so salty I had a lot of water to drink to counter balance the salt so I went to the bathroom. It was very very very dark hallway. I had to feel the walls just to get to the bathroom which was hard to tell which one was woman's and men's until I saw a guy leaving one. So I waited for the other door since it was one commode bathroom. The hostess came out of the bathroom and turned off all the lights just as I was waiting outside the door. Doubt we will be back.

Very very dark. They need to put lights by the bathroom-- pretty sure someone has or will hurt themselves. It's completely dark in that hallway. The ambiance is great, besides it being very dark in the bathroom area. I enjoyed the art on the walls and the calm atmosphere. It was clean and orderly. Food was delicious. We did family style and shared two entrees and two apps. For the apps, we had calamari and polpo salad. The calamari was grilled and topped with a slightly spicy, very citrusy lemony marinara sauce. Polpo was very tender, though was not as interesting taste-wise as I had thought. Lots of vinegar and not much depth. But it was ok. For entrees, we had the Vongole pasta and gnocchi. Both were great. Gnocchi is pretty heavy-- comes with a 4cheese sauce, so what do you expect. Vongole pasta was light and delicious and had plenty of flavor. For dessert, we got tiramisu. It was moist but in a liquid-wet way. (Not like cake or brownies). It was still good though. Service was good. It threw me off that there doesn't seem to be any sort of dress code for the wait staff. They were all dressed differently in normal clothes and it was difficult to tell who worked there and who didnt. Which made it frustrating when we needed to ask for things (plates, silverware, etc) Bill was around $90 without tip. Also, I think they target adults and want to minimize patronage of children because there's a sign on the door that requests that no young children dine there. First time I've seen that anywhere..

/TL;DR My first experience here was amazing. This time, not so much. I mean, it wasn't inedible, but it wasn't the hype I built up in my mind. Here's the sad thing, it had been so long since I was here last that we ordered exactly the same dishes as before. Underwhelming. /ATMOSPHERE Atmosphere would be why this place scraped by past a two-star review. It's really a great date night spot. Dimly lit, comfortable seating, semi-private dining area away from the bar, etc. /FOOD This is the disappointing part. While the bread service was great, the meal itself -- too salty. The appetizers were good though. By the way, I don't mean my dish. I mean every main entree. Here's what we ordered: Caprese salad Calamari Braised short rib cannelloni Pasta w/ Italian sausage Pasta w/ chicken Skirt steak Whoever was running the kitchen that night seriously failed on checking the food on departure. I took my father there for Father's Day... and he couldn't finish his steak because of it. :o( I had him remove the bleu cheese. It was nearer to tolerable after that. /SERVICE Friendly but nothing memorable. We screwed up our dinner reservation and requested a two-seat table instead of four. They accommodated our change. After loafing around for 5 minutes, we finally got seated. Once we were back there, we couldn't figure out why there was any drama. The place was empty. Not to mention, most tables stayed empty even after we left. HOW TO READ MY REVIEWS: 1 Star - Does not approach edible. Enter at your own risk. 2 Stars - If I'm in the area, I'd pick something else. 3 Stars - I would stop by if I happen to be in the area. 4 Stars - I would pick this place out of other places nearby. 5 Stars - I would go out of my way to dine here.

I love this place and is our go to for date night or when we go out with friends. I love sitting at the bar for dinner, the bartenders are amazing and make a great dinner even better.

Honestly almost drove right past this placed because I thought it was closed---just really dark windows. Came in on a Sunday night and was immediately seated by friendly hostesses at the bar. The bar tender, Tim, was really attentive and served me right away after introducing himself. I try to avoid eating unnecessary amounts of bread, but OMG the house marinara with goat cheese ricotta and fresh bread could not be ignored. It had a spicy kick and I was glad to indulge. I'll run a little extra tomorrow. For my main dish, I selected the carpaccio salad. It was light, bright, acidic and fresh. Among the best. For dessert I got the creme brûlée. When I asked to see the dessert menu, they just recited it to me---well, I wanted to see the prices. This was a little annoying. Maybe they don't have a menu of it? Or it changes? I will forgive him since I got a nice sized pour of wine. I could smell it being fired up in the kitchen and was excited. It was a fairly deep dish so there was a lot of creme. After tasting it, I realized I probably didn't need to have ordered it (hi again gym), but the blueberries were a nice touch. Nothing to die for, but a lot of the desserts sounded good. Can't say I sampled a lot, but I enjoyed what I did have. I only docked one star because some other employee came over and kept chatting loudly. More like gossiping almost and just seemed kinda unprofessional in general. Otherwise, I'd definitely come back to try more and other people were really pleased around me too.

This was one of the best Italian meals I've had in a long time. Wasn't expecting much, judging solely by the facade and the hood. I was pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. My friend and I started with the frico appetizer; a crispy, flat fried cheese, served with fresh tomato and olive oil. It was delicious. For entrees, we shared the short rib cannelloni, which was out of this world. We also shared the garganelli with Italian sausage - the creamy tomato sauce is so good and the sausage is extra special. We sat at the bar with Mike, who took great care of us and recommended some great wines to go with our meals. Highly recommend this great restaurant - a perfect date spot or a cool place to grab dinner with friends.

Appetizer, drinks, entree for two = right at $100.00 Salsiccia appetizer was amazing. All of the meaty and tomato and onion parts you like about Italian food, without any cheese or noodles getting in the way. Comes in a bowl, but could eat these spicy chunks of sausage with a fork. Wife had lamb and it was perfectly prepared. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.

Recommended by a friend. Ordered special, Halibut on Parmesan Rissotto with an amazing sauce. Had wonderful heart of romaine salad and Beef Carpaccio before. All dishes were exceptional. Our waiter was Mike who is as good as it gets. Everything was spot on.

I love the food at One41. The spaghetti is unbeatable! The service is great. The wine list is very nice. The only improvement I could suggest is that you find a way to make the restaurant a little quieter. Sometimes it gets a little loud when you're busy. But overall, great place to dine.

Best Italian food I've had in Atlanta so far. I'm an Italian from Philly who misses the good Italian food that is so readily available up north, which you just can't find down here. Great menu, great service, nice people, fair prices, and most importantly great food. Everything was well prepared, well presented and very, very tasty. Don't waste your time overpaying for snob appeal and going to Buckhead, only to be short changed, it's all right here.

Trattoria One-41 is trying hard to be fancy, but comes across as snooty. Sorry I can't comment on the food. My wife and I arrived with two of our kids and were told we had to leave because it was an "adults only" restaurant. It reminded me of policies mediocre restaurants enact that they think will make them seem elite -- things like requiring men to wear a tie, or not providing salt and pepper because the chef presumes he seasons the food perfectly. Not allowing children is a new one on me. The owner explained that they were trying to provide a "Buckhead like" experience for folks who live in the suburbs. I felt like she was insulting me in some manner, but I'm not yet sure about it. All I can say is that I've eaten at some of the best restaurants in Buckhead WITH MY CHILDREN. Now, it is entirely OK for a restaurant to declare themselves "child free." But I think they need to be a bit more assertive about it. We were kind of miffed at having cleaned up the kids, showered, put on a nice dress (not me, my wife), drive for 20 minutes, only to discover we'd have to dine elsewhere. They claimed that we should have seen the "no children" alert on their website and on opentable (where we made our reservation). There are no such warnings. There is a kind of hint about it on their website where they say they support a "grown up" atmosphere. Anyhow, the bottom line is that the best restaurants in the world are less pretentious than this one. PS -- I'm curious to know, from folks who have actually been seated: Is there salt and pepper on the table?

Tried One41 on a Saturday night, made reservations for 2 @8:45 on Open Table. It seems that is the latest reservation since the restaurant and bar closes at 10pm. Service was excellent, menu is classic upscale Italian. The bread they bring to the table was amazing, crusty and soft on the inside. They serve it with a nice sauce and I think it was a garlic butter melted in it. Really nice flavor with a little heat to it. We skipped appetizers because we knew we were going to larger mains. However the tables next to us had some awesome looking apps. One large plate of steamed muscles and the other had an eggplant rollatini. I had the pounded veal chop bone in alla parmigiana. This was the size of the entire plate. It was so tender a knife wasn't needed. It was pricey at $39 and no side, but I will tell you I would order it again in a heart beat, it was that good. I did add a size of pasta which was huge for $5. It wasn't needed though. I could not finish this veal chop and took 1/2 home. My wife had the seafood stew, which had lobster tail, clams, shrimp, muscles, and salmon in a lightly spicy tomato sauce. She loved it. I think it was in the $30+ range. We topped it off with a nice bottle of Chianti. They have a nice wine list from $30's into the hundreds. They also have wine by the glass. We passed on dessert because we just had no room for any more food. Excellent experience, friendly/attentive staff and great food. Make a reservation as this place is small, maybe just over 20 tables.

I love, love, love this place! Living in Duluth, I usually have to drive to dine at a restaurant of this caliber but not anymore. I have been here at least 10 times by myself, with a friend, celebrations, etc. and every time has been wonderful! The staff is always friendly and you never feel rushed. Food is amazing, made with the freshest ingredients. After the many dishes I've tried my two favorites are the baby artichokes appetizer and the braised beef cannelloni entree. The artichokes are grilled then finished with slow roasted garlic, pancetta lardon, Parmesan, and a beautiful lemon sauce with sautéed red peppers. Amazing right?! The beef cannelloni is wonderful as well and finished with melted Gorgonzola cheese. The best dessert is the marscapone maple cheese cake or the classic tiramisu. Ok so now that I wrote this I'm craving it so looks like I'll be visiting sometime this week :)

The management at this restaurant is not good . Had reservations in the dining room seated us in the bar. After spending over $400 on dinner they came to our table and asked us to go to the bar because they had another reservation. Management did not come to the table to ask us they sent the young inexperienced hostess. If you eat here it's strictly for the food because the treatment of guests is unacceptable.

My husband and I just recently moved here from Dallas where we own 3 restaurants and go to upscale restaurants most nights We have been to 141 several times as well as viande rouge (same owner). We went to 141 tonight to celebrate my birthday with my 5 y/o grandson. The owner refused to let us in saying they have a policy against serving anyone under 14. Such arrogance. My grandson is very well behaved and has been going to restaurants such as Nick & SAMs since he was 2 weeks old. This is too bad. I was hesitant about finding any restaurants in the Duluth area at the caliper of Dallas. My husband is a high ranking executive for a company in the area. We have taken other executives as well as going on our own. We will never go to these restaurants or recommend them again. As much as I enjoyed dining in these restaurants, the arrogance of thinking they are too good to serve my family is cause enough for us to dine elsewhere.

Trattoria is probably the single best restaurant OTP - at least that we've found so far. Make reservations on Friday and Saturday nights to be safe. To get: Starters: - MELANZANE - Basically the entire reason I come here. It's deliciousness makes me want to weep. The eggplant is sliced very thinly, stuffed with what I think is sheep's milk ricotta, and then smothered in delicious fresh tomato sauce and more cheese before being baked in its dish until the edges of the eggplant slightly caramelize. Pure art. - Caprese - Solid rendition, good mozzarella. - Mussels - Nice, relatively gentle flavoring, mussels are always fresh. - THE BREAD SAUCE - The other major reason I come here. They put some sort of garlic paste in this fabulously fresh tomato sauce - I die. Pro tip: they will happily bring you more if you ask for it. Pastas: - Everything (really) ...but especially the... -Ravioli - I am normally turned off of dishes that are this oily, but the crispiness of the sage and the richness of the ravioli balance out the browned butter. Basically this is what this dish is supposed to taste like, and once you've had it you'll realize that all the other versions you've had have been nothing more than paltry imitations. - Spaghetti, either side or whole dish - I get this with veggies instead of the meatballs, but it doesn't really matter either way since the tomato sauce is simple, elegant, vibrant, and completely fresh. Desserts: - Blueberry white chocolate creme brulee - House made tiramisu - Although I should warn that it was only ok last time we went. I'm guessing they were having an off night. - Mascarpone cheesecake What not to get: Antipasto - We've ordered it twice and thought it was a pretty limited spread. Salads - These are all large, fresh, and kind of boring IMO. If you are a fan of boring things you will like them. Everything on the back of the menu (meats/fish) - The scallops were not properly seared, and the creamy stuff (polenta?) that they came on was pretty boring. Dinner companion ordered some meat thing and was also unimpressed. Would give these a pass. Chocolate melty cake thing - It pains me to say this, but it is just not up to par with the other desserts. It's good for a normal restaurant, only ok for here. The chocolate is subsumed by the sweetness, so it just ends up being gooey and sugary. Which is nice, but seriously, check out the above-mentioned desserts first. Did I mention that I love this place? Go NOW.

Over rated on Yelp. It's located in the worst traffic zone. The staff smothers you; giving no privacy & interrupt you mid sentence. They rush you and take your plate before you even get through with your expensive, tiny portions. My Caesar salad was dry and only four leaves: not even cut up, served on a tiny plate. Cannelloni- you're better off getting a burrito than paying $22! (and they taste like a shredded beef burrito) Drinks & desserts were limited (no cake) and you'll need a flashlight to find the ladies room. Group sat next to us & then we barely saw our waiter. If you like over paying for small portions in a small, stuffy setting, this is your place. I'm out.

We had skirt steak and sea bass..both cooked to perfection. Staff was very attentive and helpful. And then a maple maracaspone cheesecake...easily one of the best desserts we have had in the past year! 141 is now one of our "goto" restaurants.

I have been here a few times over the last few years and every time it lives up to the expectation. The food is great and the servers know what a place like this should be. They are knowledgeable and know how not to be overbearing. I would say it was odd last time that they did not take our orders for the mains until after we were done with the salad, but that is a minor issue. Hope you enjoy and bring your wallet as it is not cheap, but it is worth it.

To be honest, I didn't have any high expectations for this restaurant in Johns Creek. In fact, I never thought about going here until my date made reservations for us to have dinner there on a week night. However, I'm pleasantly surprised to say that I want to go back! This restaurant is split into a few rooms. The table reserved for us was in the room on the right upon entering the restaurant. There were a few large parties there so it made the room really loud, so much so that my date asked if we could eat at the bar. The bar does indeed do full-service so we moved over to that room which was MUCH more tolerable. For apps, we had the risotto cakes and the salchicha (sausages). Both were very tasty along with the bread and tomato sauce. I was surprised by the risotto cakes because they were soft and creamy and it was good paired with the sausages that were really bold in flavor. As my entree, I had the Vongole pasta which is a simple linguini in a white wine sauce with clams. Ordinarily, I wouldn't order clams, but I was craving something simple with a light sauce. This was delicious. The only problem was keeping the linguine flavored with the sauce since the sauce itself was rather liquidy that you'd have to drink it like a soup, but it was perfect with the clams. The portions were huge too! I was definitely stuffed that I had no room for dessert. This place seems to close really early on a weeknight at 10pm. This place does get busy though especially at 8pm. I'd definitely recommend making reservations. Service was great as the bartender/waiter was attentive and gave us some great recommendations for food and wine. Trattoria one41 doesn't get much attention, but really, I wouldn't want it any other way. It's kind of an OTP location I'd like to keep a secret.

The food was wonderful. From the bread and dipping sauce to the calamari appetizer. I will NEVER again eat fried calamari as this dish has dissuaded me for good. Just so so so good. Osso bucco and lobster dish for main dishes. Oh my gosh. Beyond awesome. While the back of the house has its act together, the front of the house is not on par. When a couple spends 200 bucks on a dinner with wine, there's an implicit expectation that the service will be over the top. This was under the top at every level, except for the cheerful hostess. That said, it's NOTHING a good training session can't cure. But to be five star... You need to be better in service. Great food. Sub par service.

I was unimpressed by this restaurant due to food quality. I started with the bread which seemed to start on a positive note. But our appetizer arrived and I knew things where doing downhill. The eggplant was soft and squishy like it had been frozen. I've had this appetizer better prepared at a mid-level pizza chain in Denver. The gnocchi was well prepared when it came to the aspect of the bread crumbs being toasted on top. I'm a picky vegetarian so I thought the gnocchi was too soft. I feel like the four cheese sauce is dated. I guess perhaps those suburbanites don't know any better and haven't experienced a James Beard award winning chef make pan fried gnocchi. But even if that is an unfair comparison I know I've at least had more exciting gnocchi at a nice neighborhood pub in St. Paul.

3.5 stars because while the food was not horrible, it was did not stand out. We came here with reservations and were promptly seated. Taste-wise, the best thing was the free bread that came with a marinara sauce to dip. It was fresh-baked, warm to the touch, with a crispy outer crust and soft bread. I got the mascarpone cheesecake dessert I read in several reviews but it failed to wow. I would say it's on the same level as Cheesecake Factory. $10, 3/5 stars The beef short rib cannelloni was tasty but salty. For the price you don't get that much. I would love to eat it with the delicious bread but we ran out before entrees came. $21, 3/5 stars My pasta ears ( the Orrechiette) was pretty good. I could tell the pasta was freshly made, which I appreciate. The sausage is tasty and complements the bland pasta well. #17, 3/5 stars The restaurant itself tried for a romantic, intimate feel with dim lighting and small candles on each table. However, my date was seated across from me and it was hard to hear him. If you raise your voice it feels like shouting since the room is small. I didn't care for the many paintings and mirror. The wait staff was excellent in keeping our waters filled and was knowledgeable about the menu. My plate had a chip in it, which is weird considering this place is supposed to be fine dining. I think I would rather skip the meal here and save money for Bacchanalia.

Fantastic experience for our date night! The mussels were cooked to perfection with a zesty white wine sauce. We had the grouper and lamb chops. Chops were excellent grade of lamb and the grouper was tasty and flaky. Service was also prompt, professional, friendly, and knowledgeable.

So I'd like to start off by saying I've frequented this restaurant probably 8 times total. The first time I went it was truly spectacular. Like thank God I work right down the street from here spectacular. I've spent many a minute recommending this place to my clients and have great reviews. The reason I give it 2 stars is because of my last two visits. It is definitely a place that caters to regulars, which is fine, but I expect great service for that price. The second to last time I went they lost my reservation, didn't offer a drink or any accommodations so we sat outside in about 45 degree weather drinking our wine. The place used to be sparsely furnished, where now they cram people in so tight we literally were touching each other. Must be a way to make more money. However! Speaking of money, I called up to the restaurant to buy a client of mine a bottle of wine for her and her husband for their anniversary. They took my card and I gave them a price range and wala! No biggie, right? So the next day I checked my credit card statement to make sure my client ordered the wine before I said anything and saw a charge that was within the range I gave them. Then a few days after I went to pay my cc bill and all of a sudden that charged went up! I called immediately and they plead corkage fee. Now, if you frequent a place like that you know very well they DO NOT charge a corkage fee if you've bought the bottle from them. I know that! So when I questioned them about it, they got really quiet and had to call me back. In my eyes they changed that total without informing me which is equivalent to straight up stealing. Oh no they didn't. Well, yes they did. So that is game over for me. And too bad, because the food is really good! If you do go, order the beef carpaccio....it is amazing. And now I'm mad because I won't go back based on principle!

Had dinner there last night. Was excited there was a highly rated restaurant near our home since the Peachtree Corners/Norcross/Johns Creek area doesn't have many outstanding dining options. Overall a good experience, but the main courses definitely did not match our expectations given the high ratings here and elsewhere. GOOD: Very friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. The hostess, bartender and waiter were all very friendly. Wine, appetizer (tomato with mozzarella) and dessert (banana bread pudding) were all delicious. FAIR: Main courses were not particularly great. Not bad by any means, but we would not order them again. We had the lasagna, which was completely covered in cheese. And the ossobuco which is nearly the most expensive thing on the menu and we were told was a specialty. The meat on the ossobuco was very tender - didn't even need a knife to cut it. That's a good thing. But the sauce on the risotto on which the meat sat was salty and too rich, not in a good way. Neither of us was overwhelmed. Obviously a matter of personal taste, but neither dish was particularly "special" but again, not bad by any means. Just not a 5 star main course. We really wanted to like this place, and we may try it again, at least for wine and appetizers or drop by for dessert. Probably will try pasta if I come back.

I strongly prefer Ippolitos. The decor is great, I'll give them that, and the location is pretty nice, too. And I like the clever name. But it's pricey for what it is. I won't be going back - nothing special, to me, and I've had better for less money. Also, when I was there, no one else was in the dining area, and they had the blinds open and the sun was in my eyes....so I tried to close the blinds, and they literally fell off and onto the ground, almost onto me. So...I like the decor, but just don't touch it!

Pros: The food and the ambiance. Cons: The service. Unfortunately our table wasn't ready when we arrived, despite having made a reservation ahead of time. We had to wait another 10-15 minutes. Next, our waitress brought us the wrong appetizer. And lastly, the fresh baked bread did not arrive at our table until AFTER we had finished 2 appetizers and started on our entrees. The food however, was very good. Appetizers: Calamari which was accompanied by shrimp arrabiata. The sauce was a little thin but very savory and a touch spicy. We also ordered mozzarella covered in pancetta (special of the day!) which was a bit of a palate cleanser but was still perfectly salted and delectable. I would definitely get this again. Entree: We split the penne in vodka sauce with sausage and chicken. The portion was generous and more than enough for the two of us.. especially after two appetizers! The fresh baked bread (when it finally arrived) was piping hot and served with a tangy marinara sauce and butter. The bread was SO good. We were too full for dessert but I'd love to try it someday.. I'd be willing to go back despite mediocre service because the food was great!

My company had a dinner here Saturday night, and I just need to give my rave review of this place. I had one of their signature cocktails, called "Irresistible Bliss", made with pomegranate, lime, and vodka. It was delicious and strong, and not very sweet at all (because I despise sweet cocktails). We started with the grilled artichokes (with crispy panchetta) and homemade italian sausage appetizers. The homemade italian sausage was absolutely to die for and will haunt my dreams until I get to eat it again. My boyfriend said we should have ordered 5 of those to go, and I completely agree. The Cesare salad (Caesar) was delicioso. I ate every last morsel of it. My boyfriend's Misto salad had terrific flavor, too. The bread with tomato-y, cheese-y dipping sauce that they provide is amazing. It's deceptively flavorful. I loved it, loved it, loved it. Sadly (or perhaps unsadly), my least favorite part of the meal was my entree. But luckily I was pretty full by then. I had the Gamberi - cold water prawns in fra diavolo sauce. Next time I think I'll get the lamb chops. I mean, the entree wasn't bad by any means - it just paled in comparison to the many phenomenal items that came before it. The coffee was delicious, too. Nice and strong, but "fancy strong". Service was great, considering we had 20 guests. This place is going on my "special occasions" list. Funny thing is, the servers wear jeans - but the place is dimly lit and romantic. And the jeans don't bother me. For one thing, I think that means I can wear them there if I want to. ;-) It's kind of hard to find. If you take 141 north from 285 about 10 miles, cross over Pleasant Hill (which might be State Bridge at that point), it's almost immediately on your left, by the BP. It's worth the effort to find it, though!

My second meal here was once again outstanding. We started off with the Sicilian Lifeguard Style Calamari and the Insalata Caprese Salad (thick tomato slices with fresh mozzarella cheese). The calamari was not battered, but rather sauteed and tossed in a spicy marinara sauce & fresh herbs. Both were excellent. For the main course I had the Chicken Marsala & my wife had the Dover Sole. The Dover Sole is finished table-side and served bubbling hot on a plate heated over a small gas grille. Tonight the sole was a little salty and our server said it shouldn't have been. She made it right by presenting us with a card for a free meal next week so we can try it again. The Chicken Marsala as perfect.

Entrees - Veal special - Orrechiette No dessert. Food was good. What I REALLY liked about this place was the service. Great host stand, prompt and friendly greeting. Hands down, One-41 is the best Italian food in Atlanta. We have eaten at all of the highest rated ones in the area and none are close to having the intensity of flavor that the dishes at One-41 have. The spaghetti and meatballs are the best I have ever had. All of their dishes are terrific. You can't go wrong with anything you order and the staff does a great job with wine recommendations.

wow this place has really yummy appetizers and great vongole. it definitely made the long drive worth it (note: i live near buckhead and this place is pretty far for me). i went with 4 of my friends last night. on our drive there we called ahead and got a reservation for 8:30. we ended up arriving at the restaurant about 40 minutes earlier than our reservation so we hung around the bar area and had a couple of drinks. i want to say that the crowd is much older and my friends and i were definitely the youngest people there. for apps, we got the cozze (steamed mussels in slightly spicy tomato sauce) and the carciofi (artichokes). both were so delicious. they also give you bread with marinara goat cheese sauce to spread... sooo yummy. for the main course, i got the vongole (white clam pasta) and i want to say it's probably the best i've had in a while. i love what this restaurant does with garlic. the garlic in my vongole and in the artichoke app was ridiculous. 2 of my friends got the veal parmigiana which was huge! 1 got the cannelloni and the other got the orrechiette. they all said they preferred the apps over their main course. the white chocolate blueberry creme brulee was pretty good. the maple mascarpone cheesecake was also very good but tastes like werther's original :)

This is the best Italian food outside the perimeter by far. Chef Marc Sublette, former executive chef of Pricci in bulkhead carries on his great cooking at 141. Everything from housemade Italian sausage to a fantastic bone in veal chop parmigiana. Service is friendly and knowledgable. Also great wine list and cocktail program. Do not miss out on thi spot if you are in or near Duluth or Johns Creek.

I live near One41 and most of our friends, neighbors rave about it. I had been to a Christmas party at the bar and had apps (good), but never dinner. So, a few friends decided to celebrate a couple bdays there. First, the food is wonderful, as most reviewers have said. We had the artichokes and calamari/rock shrimp to start. The artichokes are fantastic and the calamari/shrimp was overpriced for what you got and how it tasted (not bad, but nothing to write home about). Our party had 8 people. All the entrees were delicious. I had the sweet potato raviolis - melted in my mouth delicious. Various pastas and salads were had and everyone enjoyed their meals. The salads seemed overpriced, especially the caprsse salad. When you compare the size and taste to Sugos down the road. What was odd was the service. It was very attentive, but at times not attentive in the right areas. This could have just been our waiter though. With a large party, who was waiting for guest to arrive at different times, a few drinks ordered first, we were a bit hungry and wanted to wait to get apps til the whole party was present. We kept asking for bread politely and nothing. We finally ordered apps and we were hoping to get bread to enjoy the wonderful sauces and marinades left over. The bread was finally brought after we ordered our dinners. Not a big deal, but we all thought a little lacking in service. Our waiter (who appeared to be a manager of sorts), kept offering everyone a glass of prosseco, as if it was complimentary. We assumed it was not, but some guest may not. I don't understand why it is adults only either. Not welcoming small kids I understand, but the place isn't that nice to warrant making it a 14 and older establishment. Sunday nights are family nights I believe. All in all, the food was very good, but as a couple reviewers have written, it seems a bit overpriced for the apps and salads (not entrees).

It's served at the table before anything else. We had to ask for extra because it was so delicious. I had the spaghetti & meatballs, very good, & the meatball had a little kick. A great find OTP. Ambiance and decor are both upscale and top notch. Chef Marc Sublette has a stellar resume including starts with Pano's & Paul's and Pricci. HIs take on Italian food is praise-worthy and can be seen on well executed dishes such as the homemade Italian sausage (very flavorful), steamed mussels in garlic-tomato broth, the simple spaghettini with veal meatballs (superb), the lamb loin scallopini (delicious), mushroom risotto (creamy), and the braised beef short rib canneloni (my favorite). I also remember the best version of Osso Buco I've ever had although I haven't seen it on the menu in a while. Great food overall and a must-try if ever you're in the area.

What a find! I called ahead to ask about their gluten-free options and not only was Thomas very nice and patient but he explained in great detail how they strive to accommodate those with Celiac or gluten sensitivity. He suggested the risotto which I love so I decided we should try them out. We showed up a bit early for our 7pm reservation so we decided to have a drink at the bar. The bartender there is awesome! Not only is he very nice/friendly (which all bartenders should be) but he is very knowledgeable. Anyway, he made us some really great cocktails...one called a Bee's Knees that had gin and honey in it and the other which had rye whiskey and maraschino liqueur in it but I can't remember what it was called. Anyway, both delish. The ambiance and decor of this place is pretty cool for being in the suburbs. It's pretty cozy and since it was decorated for the holidays, it was nice without being overdone. Anyway, the food was great. I ordered the scallops with risotto. For an appetizer, we shared the filet mignon carpaccio. AH-mazing. Dessert was cheesecake and flourless chocolate cake which we all shared. It is a bit on the expensive side but, honestly, it's worth it if you are looking for a nice dinner out without having to drive into Atlanta.

I found a place that makes a better Manhattan than Pampas Steakhouse and has better Italian food than Luciano's. Life is good. Service was excellent from the start. We had no fewer than 3 people ask to help us while our table was being prepared, then our waiter, Mike, took drink orders and recited the nightly specials. The food was spot on. I had a caprese salad and the gnocchi. The caprese didn't consist of the normal thinly-sliced tomatoes; they were huge, as were the chunks of buffalo mozzarella. The gnocchi was light and fluffy, with a perfect amount of density that let the quattro formaggio linger in your mouth while you chewed. I may have found my favorite new restaurant for out-of-town guests who are willing to wander this far OTP.

Totally amazing experience. The crispy aged Provolone was a great way to start. My Grouper entree was awesome. Two of my other friends got the beef short-ribs which looked great and judging by the smiles on their faces, tasted great too. I will also mention that the service was great too. Only minor issue is it is very pricey. $35 for a huge bone in Veal Parmesean without a side of Linguini. How can you eat Veal Parm without a side of pasta. Which is an extra $5 so now it is $40 for Veal Parm in the burbs. Even though it was expensive it was delicious and I would pay it again. This restaurant is very good. The calamari rocks! It's not fried, which I love, and is hard to find. Service is good, and the ambiance is very nice for an intimate dinner. I like it better than their sister restaurant Viande Rouge.

This place is absolutely delightful. I was shocked when I found about it. I thought it would be your typical Italian joint, but boy was I wrong. Had dinner at the bar-- which by the way has a great bartender who will answer all your questions honestly about the menu. Started off with the artichokes which was a juicy, buttery mix. I've never enjoyed artichokes so much. Had the chilean seabass also which came with a side of asparagus and roasted potatoes (you can never go wrong with either of them.) Skipped on dessert and had a spicy mango? cocktail. It was a strange combination but after a few sips, you actually start to enjoy it. Service was impeccable and the setting and vibe of the whole restaurant is amazing. Very dark and intimate and offers many different Italian dishes besides your every day bowl of spaghetti and meatballs. I recommend this place to everyone who would like to get away from your typical pasta scene.

If your in the area this is a great place for fine dining. Great cocktails and a wonderful menu. We started off with the grilled artichoke app and some wonderful bread that they serve with a red sauce. For a main dish we both at the Vitello - a huge bone-in pounded veal chop parm. Excellent flavor and a huge dish. This is a great place where you can go and have dinner at the bar or in the main dining room. Great for friends or a business dinner.

The service is extremely nice and personable. However, probably due to the seating in the bar section, it was slow. It was difficult to get our server's attention, though it wasn't exactly her fault, since I think she was serving the entire section. The calamari appetizer was a bit too fishy tasting, but the sauce was excellent. We even dipped our bread in it and it was delicious! The cozze appetizer was also pretty decent. The tomato-based sauce was perfectly juicy and spiced. My favorite, however, was the rucola (baby arugula) salad. Salads are very rarely my favorite part of anything, but this was particularly fresh with an extremely yummy dressing. The dressing wasn't overwhelming nor drenching the salad. It was perfect mixture of tangy, sweet, vinaigrette goodness. With that said, their entrees were just meh, ok. Here's what we got: Vongole - perfect consistency of pasta, generous portions of baby clams, sauce's white wine was a bit overpowering next to the mild garlic in it Casarecce - pasta itself just too potato-y/doughy, perfectly crisp asparagus and well-seasoned chicken Ravioli - wasn't a fan at all Cannelloni - would've been my favorite, except way too salty By the way, the bread and marinara sauce with goat cheese is delicious!

Talk about snooty pa-tooty! Yes, the service was polite, but they definitely cater to the elite country clubbers. We were told at the beginning of our meal that there were not any food specials for the evening. But then we heard her tell the table next to us the specials for the night. When I confronted her about it, she said that they were specials guests and that they requested that dish earlier. Yeah right. FOOD: For starters, we got the complimentary warm Italian bread with tomato/garlic sauce, which was yummy! We started with the calamari and rock shrimp appetizer. It was not fried but rather cooked in a tomato, lemon, onion sauce which was ok. It was spicier than the menu said. I like my calamari fried. I had the linguine with clams, garlic, and parsley - Yuk! The sauce was spicy and the pasta was tough. I dared not stay for dessert. This place is definitely not worth the price!

The whole experience was 5 star with exception that my wife's Seafood Stew was way over salted. We were with a large group so she didn't inform the staff. I can still taste the roasted mushroom risotto and am dreaming of going back to Georgia for more! Honestly, this is one of the best restaurants I have been to in a long time and am furious it's in the middle of Georgia since we are moving to Washington state. Now, my only issue is that my salad mista was a bowl covered in lettuce with the other salad ingredients at the bottom of the bowl-- that's kitchen prep stuff and not the chef's fault-- but needs to be addressed since it was the first thing I ate at Trattoria. Dinner was scallops and risotto: the scallops were PERFECTLY cooked and I mean perfect. The risotto was al dente, just the way it should be. My husband's fish dish had a beautiful polenta base that was incredible. Our mascarpone cheesecake dessert was out of this world. Plus, we spoke with one of the owners (whose name is escaping me right now) who was sweet, helpful and super laid-back. She even said her little brother was our server as we were discussing how great the service had been for us. Just wonderful.

What a find! We will never go any where else for Italian again! Feet up, this place was 5 stars. The décor is perfect, not too much and the tables are not too close together. It has a very romantic feel. Appetizers were amazing and large enough to share - the anti pasti was huge and had a wonderful variety on it. You get the most incredible bread brought to your table with a warm tomato sauce with a soft cheese surprise inside. Could have just eaten that all night! I should have stopped there but so glad I didn't because the Cannoli was unreal and my husbands Sea Bass was even better! If you get a chance to request a waitress, ask for Ashli (part owner) she knows her stuff and is wonderful.

One quick note: No where on the building or inside is this place referred to as "Trattoria". It is called "One 41". Now for the experience. The decor and ambiance are perfect. Intimate and quiet without being dark and somber. Just walking to your seat, you get the impression you are going to enjoy this meal. Once seated our waiter was attentive and always available without crowding us. He did a perfect job with recommendations and presentation. Now for the food. The only thing I can say is that it was over the top Italian. I had the bone in veal and it was perfect. My wife had a lamb dish that was equally impressive. Cooked to perfection and prepared perfectly. This turned out to be one the best dinners of the year for us. A bit on the expensive side, but worth it.

The marscapone cheesecake was the thing that I left there thinking about and wondering when I would have it again. What an amazing meal we had here! We came to 141 to celebrate some birthdays and were a little nervous about the prices. But I have to say that it was definitely worth it! From the wine, to the appetizers, the bread, the meals and the dessert every single one of us (7 in all) walked out happy. Every dish had a sauce that made you want to lick your plate clean. You must try the calamari appetizer. Once everyone orders their entrees they bring out the crusty bread with a yummy red sauce and goat cheese, we ate every crumb. My husband had the swordfish, and that was also consumed down to a sparkling clean plate. Absolutely no leftovers to be found. And don't get me wrong, the Tiramisu was wow delicious, but the Cioccolata was to die for, just sayin'. The place is small and romantic, you want to wear nicer clothes just to keep with the vibe. Great place for dates. We didn't know this, and one of us was wearing jeans and a t-shirt but they didn't say anything. Even the owner of the restaurant waited on us, and was very nice saying they had just opened a French restaurant on the other end of the complex. We stayed past closing time, but we weren't rushed out the door. Just remember this place is on the pricier side, but the value to your tastebuds is worth it. So don't try to eat here and pinch your pennies, you want to relax and enjoy. Pasta dishes start at about $17 and meats/seafood start at $25. Entrees don't come with sides unless they say so, those are separate. And the salad I ordered, albeit delicious, was about the size of my fist. So their serving sizes are more on the reasonable side. But between an appetizer, a meal, and dessert we all left with full tummies and happy palates.

Update: 2/15/14. My wife who is a big foodie certifies these lamb chops as the best in the city - that's over one of the best known Kevin Rathbun's. We still love you though Kevin! Thanks to my mom, I discovered this place. After a Friday evening of hanging with pops eating at Pappadeux's, shooting pool and drinking at Barnacles, my mom invited me to join her for dinner at One41. I thought, why not. I could grab some dessert and keep her company. It turns out I couldn't resist the food. The Veal meatball and spaghetti was the best I have ever tasted in my life. I also ordered the roasted eggplant and finished it all! I wasn't even hungry... Then, I finally made it to dessert. White chocolate and blueberry creme brule -killed it! Once we were done, I knew I need to go back and go back I did. A week later we went to celebrate my dad's birthday there. We were there with a friend of the family who happens to be a local celebrity and the were very nice to us. We got to meet one of the owners and all! Everyone loved their food. Veal, lamb chops, gnoochi, Italian sausage, everything Italian and different from classic Italian. It was like Italian with a twist. It's hard to get a seat here on the weekend, so I would suggest reservations!

What a great restaurant! Restaurant was busy on a Monday (day before Valentine's day) but service was impeccable. Mike was our server and he was very attentive and gave fantastic recommendations. We started off with beef carpaccio, sausage & peppers, & aged provolone. The carpaccio was melt in your mouth, the provolone was fantastic and the sausage was out of this world great! We got the cannelloni & risotto special for entrees and they were superb. You could taste the house made veal stock in the short ribs cannelloni and the risotto was cooked to perfection. One of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time!

Background: I was w/ Esther Y's group (read her review) Cons: - Pack a sack lunch, an extra pair of socks and fire up that GPS. This place is located in one of those parts that takes Google 5 minutes to load the map. - Now I understand the place is trying to be New Age. But the name can get a little confusing. Just searching Yelp for this place will bring up two results: Trattoria 141 or the hip Trattoria One-41. I drove by the place and had to do a double take. - Remember that scene in Titanic, when all the rich WASP-y types give Leo the stink eye b/c he looks out of place? Well I showed up wearing a snowboard jacket (it's cold!) and as soon as I walked in an old white lady dropped her fork and I just knew I ruined her meal w/ my presence. Is fur even warm? - The bartender kept calling me "boss". I don't know if I should see that as a putdown, but I'm not his boss. - My Cannelloni was just "alright". Very generous... In fact TOO generous with the meat. Meaning I honestly thought they forgot the pasta part of my meal. Pros: - The wait staff was way overdressed. Like prom night overdressed. One of the ladies looked smokin' and almost made me forget we were waiting close to an hour for our table. But everyone was smiley and kind. - Free Bread w. Marinara/Cheese dip is amazing! (It now places in my list of Top Free Breads- Red Lobster's Cheddar Biscuits is current #1). - Carciofi : Artichokes: I now love Artichokes. They were scrumptuous. Best dish we had that night. - Cozze : Very good. Has a nice kick to it. - The prices are very reasonable for excellent food. - I tend to judge service based on how frequently our water is refilled. It was frequently filled. So A+. Verdict: Would definitely return. Long wait but worth it. Excellent service, friendly staff. Delicious food. Check it out, but dress appropriately lest you want someone to push you out w/ a broom.

Absolutely love their bread and marinara sauce with goat cheese. The spaghettini is to die for and the ambiance is lovely. Thomas and Stefano totally hooked me up the last two times in last week as I was in town from California. A classy chic grown up restaurant in Alpharetta/Johns Creek area....a little bit of Buckhead brought to the burbs. Really a must try =)

Their seafood apps and entrées are very good (I think mainly since they cater to an older country club crowd?). The free bread and marinara sauce was also yummy. As other reviews suggested, seems like they extend preference to their regular customers (the 4 of us waited a lot longer than some people who came in later and were seated before us). If you're looking for a more casual and laid-back place (and I think less snooty), try Sugo up the street.

Whether it's a date or a business client, if you want to exhibit great taste; go to Trattoria one41. Terrific food, great service, nice ambiance. Interesting menu, all around great experience. Expensive, but worth it. We appreciated the "adult" atmosphere.

I must say, I LOVE this place! There are pros and cons. Pros- the food is impeccable, ambience is wonderful. We love the artichoke app, probably my favorite thing on the menu. Get it. The mussels were decent, nothing insane. The filet carpaccio was very good, but not better than the artichokes. Entree wise we have tried the scallops, sea bass....and something else, which wasn't as good since I cannot remember. The scallops have been the best. Next time i will probably do the veal parm. It looks delicious. The servers have always been top notch. The hostess's brother waited on us the first time and he was probably the best waiter ever. I think she was the hostess....since she sat us. Anyway, I could eat here every week, it's that good. I recognized the bartender from my vinings days...he is a good bartender...surprised to see him out in johns creek...but he worked fine dining...I think canoe. If you want to take out of town guests some place special and fail proof, go here. Cons- our first visit we thought the hostess was a snot. We went for hubs bday and made reservations...for EARLY...like 630 or something. We get whisked to the...bar?? I asked if we could sit in the dining room as we had a reservation and all and it was only freakin 630. She said, nope, we are all full in there...which I could not verify since the dining room is separate from the entrance...based on later events, im sure there is no way that was true. Not that the bar was horrible, but there was little ambience and it was bright. We wanted a nice relaxing cozy meal for his bday and that just was a non-special occasion kind of place. They had a few bar counter height tables and 2 regular size shorter tables right where you walk in. If given a choice and forced to sit in a bar, then i want the counter height table. So I asked if we could sit at one of those. She said, nope...they are all reserved...we actually have people who request those and they are all booked. ummmm yeah. Sure. I may have believed her except that two of the tables sat empty the entire time we dined there for 2 hrs. So she is a bit of the seinfeld version of the hostess nazi. I understand that restaurant folks find fussy people like me annoying. However, I didnt appreciate her. I was actually in the restaurant biz myself for 10 yrs as a waitress..and us restaurant people are usually the pickiest, but tip the best. So anyway... We moved past it but I will say it was an insult. Other than the attitude we got from her, everyone else was very nice. I find it a bit ridiculous that if you have a reservation you must still request to sit in the restaurant, not the bar. Overall, I definitely recommend this place with the provisions mentioned above.

One four one is one of our absolutely favorite places. We usually dine there at least once a week and have tried almost everything on the menu. The melanzani, short rib cannelloni and lamb chops are among our favorites but there is usually a special or two that grabs my attention. Besides great food and an excellent wine list, the service and atmosphere are about as good as it gets. If you haven't tried this OTP gem, it is well worth the drive!

Been to One41 a few times now, very satisfied with my visits. Waiters are friendly (and attractive), the drinks are made well, and the food is spectacular. It is a little bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. I'll just note what I've had there with a comment on the item. Carpaccio - best Ive ever had Spaghettini - best Ive ever had also Lasagna - not your typical style lasagna, lots of cheese, a little salty, good though Polpo(grilled octopus and veggies) - not my favorite, but I don't like cucumbers and the flavor from them infused in the olive oil used in the dish, so the taste stayed in my mouth for the rest of the night. The octopus itself was cooked well though. Antipasti - a sample platter of their meats, cheeses, olives, etc. by themselves, a big portion at that. High quality ingredients Salsiccia(sausage, onion, peppers) - Very flavorful, I tried it in the spaghettini and that was wonderful. Calamari and Shrimp - lightly breaded, not heavy at all. Very good Caesar Salad - not your typical style Caesar, and its really good. A little pricey for the small size and what it is though... Grilled Artichokes - Fabulous, I don't share this appetizer. Oh, and the bread with marinara/goat cheese they serve before all the meals is very addictive, I usually get some to take home, free of course. All the drinks were made very well. Overall a great place if you don't mind spending a few extra dollars to get superb quality food. I visit whenever I can afford to :) (Update) I havent officially seen it on the menu yet, but as I'm somewhat of a regular here, chef Marc recommended I tried out a 'pot roast' type dish he was testing out. It was absolutely fabulous. Very rich pot roast style beef and vegetables with red wine in the sauce, served over very creamy rice that almost tasted like it had maybe a dash of goat cheese. Almost like a shepherds pie, but better. Try it if its available!

i'm in town for work and i think i've been to this place 5 times. everything is delicious. they start your meal with warm bread and a cup of their marinara sauce with goat cheese ricotta! it is too good. i've tried quite a few items on the menu including eggplant parmesan, grilled calamari, mussels in spicy marinara, the vodka sauce with sausage, the sausage and pepper appetizer, the spaghetti and clams, and the chicken parm. what can i say? i wish this place was at home. everything was stellar.

After driving by and hearing good reviews, we had dinner here and were not disappointed. The veal chop was great and my husband had the linguini and clam sauce. We couldn't decide on one dessert so we had two. The cheesecake was amazing. Excellent date night with my husband!

Great boutique atmosphere. I am not a big italian fan, so no pasta for me. The frico was awesome and crispy, not how I usually envision chese. I had the veal chops - excellent. Overall good experience, however, I am sure my cardiologist will disagree when my cholesterol tests come back.

I live in Chicago and my boyfriend lives in John's Creek...I think it's safe to say that Chicago restaurant options always are better than down in John's Creek....except when it comes to Italian food!!! Holy crap do I love this place. I think about it in Chicago and my mouth waters. I love the wine selection, the service and oh the food isn't too bad....what an understatement! I love everything I've tried there. I especially love their arrabiata sauce because I can see the garlic in it, and the flavored are out of this world!! I've had quite a few things off of the menu, and I still want one of everything every time I go. Luckily my boyfriend keeps me in check. I do like the related restaurant Viande Rouge because of their steak tartare... I wish I could combine the 2 and eat at One41 with a side of Viande Rouge....

I'm shocked to read any negative or mediocre reviews of One-41. It is far and away one of the best restaurants OTP and I will even go as far as to say it's one of the best restaurants in all of the Atlanta metro area. I have eaten at this restaurant several times and it never fails to disappoint. I have tasted nearly everything on the menu and it is all superb. The drinks are delicious and the service is great.

My wife and I went there for dinner on a Tuesday night. The first impression was ... well, pity. I always like to make reservations for a place through OpenTable so I can get that check for making 2000 points worth of reservations, right? But then I always feel bad when I get to the place ... and it's EMPTY ... and I'm all like, "Hi, I have a reservation for two." I just feel like a putz. Like I'm rubbing it in their face that I didn't NEED to make a reservation. So - hey, guess what? A good point about this place is that you shouldn't have a problem getting a table on a Tuesday night! We were ushered into a side dining room (the other main room of the place being a bar area) ... empty except for one other couple. Here's the first and only negative of the evening - I assumed the place was "dressy" because of the yelp review ranking. Look, I'm not going to deny it - I'm lazy. If I can avoid getting dressed up for an evening, I will. But, I'll dress up if I have to. We dressed up. Our waiter was in jeans and a t-shirt. We won't dress up for T141 again. 'Nuff said. So - looking at their appetizer menu I found ANOTHER place that made me want to order one of everything. They brought out the bread and marinara sauce (with the mozzarella melting in the middle) and we kinda got stuffed on that. No real need to order another appetizer because the marinara was divine. For dinner I had the braised beef short rib cannelloni. It was good, please don't mistake that -- but it tasted exactly like the braised beef short rib ravioli from another Italian place ITP. I don't know why I was expecting more - maybe there's only so few ways to do braised short rib stuffed pasta. Lastly our waiter -- the t-shirt jean wearing guy, he could've cared less if we were there. He kept our drinks filled and was prompt and everything, but he defined the difference between "doing your job" and "acting like you enjoy your job". I'll just assume he was having an off day. So - acceptable food, nice atmosphere, easy to get a table, a little pricey.

Made reservations through Open Table, indicating that it was a birthday dinner, and that I preferred to not sit near a restroom, server station, or kitchen entrance. The reservations were for 8pm on a Monday night, so I assumed the place would be dead anyway. I had read reviews and looked at the menu online and was excited to try a new place, and one so close to home. We arrived and were immediately greeted by name, and wished Happy Birthday. We were promptly seated at arguably the best table in the restaurant, and let me tell you - the place was PACKED. Ridiculous for a Monday and this part of suburbia. But they clearly saved this table for us, and I was very pleased. I don't need to go into every detail, but the service was excellent, and there was teamwork from the whole staff, which I appreciated. Our server was awesome, and had the perfect demeanor, professional but not at all stuffy. My husband is picky about his martini- and he was surprised that they nailed his dirty martini, extra dirty, and the blue cheese olives were delicious. The wine list, even by the glass was impressive- had a great variety of Italian favorites. Rustic bread is served hot accompanied by a spicy tomato & goat cheese dip - wow! I'm trying to replicate that at home! My husband and I went back and forth on whether to order the "$17pp" antipasti platter. We found out that "pp" really meant per portion, and we just ordered one portion. Let me tell you - it was a BARGAIN at $17. I think there were 6 different types of meats (delicious) at least 3 or 4 different types of cheeses, grapes, a generous helping of olives, and a bowl of marinated vegetables. I would normally pass on the veggies, but they were delicious and strangely addictive. We scarfed down the proscuitto fried in olive oil - it was like the best, crispiest proscuitto ever. We were so sad when we finished it! But please know - there was more than a generous helping of everything on the platter. Way worth the price. I normally refuse to order Caesar salads at restaurants because I always prefer my own dressing, and I'm always disappointed. But - let me tell you - best Caesar I've ever had, hands down, killed my own! Again, will try to replicate. Also had the caprese salad, with amazingly fresh and delicious tomatoes and basil (in January!) and amazing buffalo mozzarella. Probably the best caprese I've had too. Then, for entrees, my husband usually orders a steak, but they didn't offer it, so he went with the short rib-stuffed cannelloni- Oh My Goodness - it was one of the best flavors ever. Do not miss out on this - someone in your party MUST order this, it's just that good. Menu indicates it has gorgonzola, which my husband doesn't care for, but it was so slight and worked so well with the other flavors in the dish, that he loved it regardless and thought it added to the dish and was happy he ordered it as is. I ordered one of my favorite Italian dishes - Orecchiette with spicy sausage and broccolini. Delicious!! Big chunks of sausage, perfectly seasoned. I was so full I had to take half home, but very much looking forward to lunch today!!! (The server also packaged up our leftovers nicely and separately and they were put in a nice bag- not haphazardly throw all together like some other places.) Since it was my birthday, our server graciously brought out a mascarpone cheesecake with maple caramel sauce (probably what I would have ordered anyway) and it was just amazing - a perfect sweet end to one of the best meals I've ever had in Atlanta and probably ever. I would highly recommend and will be going back the next chance I get.
